USABDA NorCal 2000 Dance Tournament

Congratulations to all who participated in our 2000 Dance Tournament on November 4th! It was a very high-energy event. The day started with 2 wonderful workshops by Ylva Wintzell featuring Hustle and Salsa. These workshops feature first-rate teachers with much individual attention at a bargain price. Don't miss them. A full schedule of competitive events followed on the great floor of the Palo Alto Elks Lodge. We had time for quite a lot of social dancing and three Jack & Jill events. Our lighting staff has really improved the atmosphere during the social dancing interludes. Our officials and the results of the competitions are listed below.

Again, I want to mention and thank all our USABDA NorCal Board members and volunteers. Without you these events would not be possible. NorCal is the most active USABDA chapter in the country in providing competitive events, and we should all be very proud of this achievement. I would especially like to thank Gene Jennings for his most generous contributions of time and money, now and in the past. He is a true friend of dancers and dancing!

Don't miss our next two events: the Winter Frolic, January 27, 2001, at the Palo Alto Elks Lodge, and the 2001 USABDA Western Regional at the San Jose Civic Auditorium on June 16, 2001.
