New Rulebook!  Please review the 2008-2009 USA Dance Rulebook.  All rules went into effect on January 1, 2008, and will apply to competitors at the Winter Frolic on January 19th and the Southwest Regional DanceSport Championships on February 2nd. We're serious about the dress code and syllabus step restrictions.  Please read the Rulebook and do your absolute best to follow it.  Our leniency in the past has led to dancers going to Regionals and/or Nationals thinking their outfits or dance routines were okay when they really were not, and then people were disappointed by a disqualification or lowering of placement.  Our Chapter-level events are meant to be fun, but our goal is to also educate dancers about the rules to prepare them for Regional and National-level events.  We understand that this all can be a bit overwhelming to new competitors, and so we're glad to answer your questions!   Subscribe to the NorCal Announcements mailing list to receive information about upcoming events.
